The Tale of Cheeseburger Josh

Posted in Comedy, Food with tags , , , , on March 29, 2010 by Ro

Poor Josh.

Imagine you’re a Texas redneck… out with your friends celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day, drinking, having fun, wearing stupid green things around your neck. And suddenly your diabetes type 2 hypoglycemia flares up and you need to fuel up with a delicious cheeseburger or you will pass out. Logically, you’d go to the closest Whataburger for a cheeseburger. Which is what Josh tried to do.

The next thing he knew, his friends ditched him, the restaurant wouldn’t serve him, a hippie beat him up, and his bare ass was hanging out of his shorts. And it was all caught on camera. Now, the video is on Youtube for the world to see – and there is an entry dedicated to him on Encyclopedia Dramatica.

Poor Josh.

Peaches Geldof: Scientology, Sex, and Heroin

Posted in Entertainment with tags , , , , , , on March 26, 2010 by Ro

Damn I love Reddit.  Last night a member dropped a bombshell about Bob Geldof’s daughter Peaches Geldof… a story that included drugs, promiscuous sex, and the cult of all cults, Scientology. And he posted pics to back it up!

There’s really nothing I can add to the story below except that Peaches’ mother, Paula Yates, was a British television host who died in 2000 of a heroin overdose.

Here is the post in it’s entirety:

Last Thanksgiving I was staying at a friends house for a few days before a trip to South America. I’d been spending most the time on the couch for the three days I was at the house. My friend lived with her boyfriend and one other girl who was “recording” her “album.” I would occasionally see this girl leaving early in the morning and coming back late at night while I was on the couch. On my final day at the house, Thanksgiving day, the girl returns at about 2:30am (Thanksgiving festivities would start in a few hours.) I’d kicked back a few beers already and was having fun sitting watching TV. She comes in and pauses for a moment looking at me. She says “have you been living here the whole time I have?” I laughed and thought this question strange, she was showing how oblivious she was to the world. I said that I had only been at the house for 2 days. She sits next to me and we begin talking about tattoos, which both of us have a good amount of. She had a cute English accent and wasn’t bad looking at all. The tattoo discussion leads to us deciding we should get each others names tattooed on each other. At 3am I grab my friends car keys, and head out. We drive all over Hollywood looking for a tattoo parlor, with no luck. While driving around we get on the topic of drugs. At this point in my life I was very into all drugs, as was she. She told me she had a bit of heroin she brought with her from the UK and asked me if I was game. I was so the hunt began.

We drove all around LA looking for the supplies we needed. We drove to various pharmacies looking for needles and cotton. We finally found one, which as a look back on would be a funny sight. A well dressed guy and girl walk in an 4am looking for a 10 pack of diabetic syringes. We get them and begin the drive home. On the way back she mentions this is heroin base, meaning we need to dissolve this in lemon (I guess this is a British thing, I never have seen this in my years in NYC.) We stop at a Dennys, asking them for a stack of lemons. Once again we got strange looks but it worked. We get back to the house, where I was promptly yelled at for stealing my friends car, and getting warned what I was about to get myself into. Once all the commotion settles down, we go to the girls room and rig up. At about 5am I was high as a kite and we start to watch a movie. Things get hot and heavy and before I know it we’re naked. I go down on her while we’re still having odd conversations about mutual friends and past hookups. I was too high to get hard and she knew it. After blowing me for a few minutes she asks if I was ok. I tell her I’m to high to get it up. I then immediately remember I’d packed a Cialis in my bag. I run out of the room, bring it back, and pop it in front of her. She laughs as we continue to have a naked dance party on her bed. I finally feel the blood rush to my member and the action begins. We did it every way possible, and for a young girl she sure knew how to work it.

This is where things get weird. Close to 8am she starts saying how someone was coming to pick her up. We’d continued to use all night so I was quite foggy about the happenings. I faintly remember her asking me for a ride and me driving her somewhere. I awoke at about 1pm in a sauna, throwing up all over the place. I started freaking out. I look around and see her on an exercise machine outside the room, looking in about the same shape as me. I get out of the room and people come past me cleaning the puke like it was nothing to them. I’m standing in the room groggy, in a speedo, and confused as hell. I look around and read some stuff realizing I’m in the Celebrity Scientology Center in LA. This girl ended up being a hardcore Scientologist and a D-List celebrity, and we were doing a process called Purif. I showered, got my clothes on, got her, and drove back to my friends, nodding out and puking the whole way.

Needless to say when I got back my friend and her boyfriend were pissed. I had “ruined” Thanksgiving. I sluggishly passed the day along and at 11pm went to LAX and flew to South America. Not until days later when I looked through my camera of the pictures of that night did I fully realize everything.

And a few more pics of Peaches:

A Message From New Left Media

Posted in Politics with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on March 19, 2010 by Ro

Chase and Erick from New Left Media attended the Tea Party/Circus in Washington DC this past weekend.

On March 16, 2010, Tea Partiers from around the country gathered (in disappointing numbers) in front of the Capitol building for their final protest against health care reform. Also in town, appropriately, was Barnum & Bailey’s actual circus. The protestors voiced their usual conspiratorial concerns about healthcare reform: that it was a government takeover and more government, of course, equals less freedom; that it would euthanize seniors too expensive to treat; and that the bill would sink the nation into irrecoverable debt, despite its actually reducing the deficit by more than $100-billion over the next ten years. Averse to facts, no one interviewed was able to cite evidence for their false beliefs about the reform proposal, and instead suggested we seek the “truth” from Glenn Beck and Fox News.

THE PROPOSAL
The healthcare reform proposal being advanced in congress, while imperfect, would bring long overdue changes to a broken system. Far from being rushed, the proposals that make up this reform have been debated for years, and this congress has been working on a bill for many months. It’s time for an up or down vote on reform.

The proposal will expand healthcare access to over 30-million uninsured Americans, make healthcare more affordable for everyone, hold insurance companies more accountable, end discrimination against Americans with pre-existing conditions, and help stabilize our budget and economy by reducing the deficit by over $100-billion in the next ten years.

This NEW LEFT MEDIA film was produced and edited by Chase Whiteside (interviewer) and Erick Stoll (camera operator) with additional camera work from Zac Sleeth.

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE:
You can make a difference in the health care debate without leaving your bedroom. So stop typing that narcissistic Facebook status, pause your Mafia Wars game, and actually do something in reality to advance the cause you support by calling your representative. This is so easy. Many people are timid about making phone calls, but a phone call to your representative now could save you a series of phone calls to an uncooperative insurance company in the future. Too lazy to look up your representative’s number? This website makes it even easier–it will find the number, call it for you, and then call your cell phone to connect you. Tell your representative’s office that you support comprehensive health care reform, and urge them to support the public option.

Your Representative needs to hear from you NOW – call them now and tell them to vote YES!

Actor Peter Graves died this afternoon of a heart attack in front of his Los Angeles home. He was 83 years old.

Graves is probably best known for his character Jim Phelps in the television series Mission: Impossible. He also portrayed lovable airline pilot Clarence Oveur in the disaster movie spoof  Airplane!, in which he delivered this notorious exchange with a young passenger:

Captain Oveur: You ever been in a cockpit before?
Joey: No sir, I’ve never been up in a plane before.
Captain Oveur: You ever seen a grown man naked?

His older brother, James Arness, was Marshal Matt Dillon on Television’s Gunsmoke.

Child Actor Corey Haim has died. He was 38 years old.

Haim was found unresponsive in his Los Angeles apartment by his mother, who was staying with him at the time. He was rushed to Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Burbank  where he was pronounced dead at 2:15 a.m. . The Los Angeles County Coroner confirmed his death as an accidental overdose.

Haim starred in numerous films over the span of his 17-year carreer, including Firstborn, Murphy’s Romance, Lucas, The Lost Boys, and a brief appearence in
Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star. From 2007 – 2008, Haim starred alongside fellow child actor and friend Corey Feldman in an A&E Reality show The Two Coreys.

Here is my favorite Corey Haim  “Interview” ever. I used to watch it and laugh and laugh.. now it’s just sad. But still funny. I feel bad for still laughing. Poor guy. RIP Corey.

Roseanne Barr Tells Us Why Marie Osmond’s Son Killed Himself

Posted in Actors. LOL., Deaths with tags , , , , , on March 9, 2010 by Ro

Roseanne Barr fired off an angry blog post about the suicide of Marie Osmond’s son Michael Blosil, claiming, “Marie Osmond’s poor gay son killed himself because he had been told how wrong and how sick he was every day of his life by his church and the people in it.”

Full blog post below:

marie osmonds poor gay son killed himself because he had been told how wrong and how sick he was every day of his life by his church and the people in it. Calling that “depression” is a lie!
Yet the Osmonds still talk lovingly about their church, saying nothing about its extremely anti-gay Crusade. Marie also has a gay daughter! Hey, I want her and all the gay kids in the world to know that they are just fine being gay and that they deserve love and respect instead of insults and rebuke! I have gay people in my family and my circle of friends and I am kicking bigot ass and taking names!
That is how its done in my religion—(I have my own religion that I made up for myself and it is a great religion that actually works and respects facts and not fantasy!)
Gerald Lund one of the ex church apostles has three gay kids himself.
Yet, even though the people they say they love the most in all of their public displays and speeches (THEIR KIDS AND FAMILY!!) are gay,– their own children, for crying out loud- these people cannot find the christian decency and compassion within themselves to stop their hypocritical gay bashing!!
How sickening. I know so many mormon kids who were gay and committed suicide, and I just cannot and will not stay quiet in order to not offend bigots anymore. It is all so terribly depressing.
Marie please don’t talk about how your faith in your church has helped you get through this one! Please get some integrity and tell that church of yours that you will leave it and stop giving it ten percent of your money if they don’t stop trying to destroy your kids’ and all gay people’s civil rights and dreams and hopes!!
G-d is trying to use you for something good and this is your opportunity! Your church is wrong and on the wrong wrong wrong side of things! Get as vocal about that as you are about your diet. G-d bless you too, Marie.
Take a hard look at the facts now as you use this very sad time for introspection, healing growth and prayer, and become a strong symbol for loving mothers who make no apologies for hatred against their own kids!
