Katy Abram: 9-12 Astroturf.
Katy Abram came to national fame as a concerned house wife who loves freedom, and hates socialism. She asked Arlen Spector a question at a town hall meeting. By asking a question, I mean she prattled on about how the country we love is being stolen by greedy socialists.
But is Katy just a concerned housewife? No, she is actually a leader of Glenn Becks 9/12 project. Here is her blog where she rallies the uninformed to go to town halls and yell at members of congress.
The whole idea of the 9/12 Project is confusing, but I think I figured it out.
There mission statement says that : The 9-12 Project is designed to bring us all back to the place we were on September 12, 2001. The day after America was attacked we were not obsessed with Red States, Blue States or political parties. We were united as Americans, standing together to protect the greatest nation ever created.
At first I thought, why the 9/12 project? Why go back to that horrible day? Why not the 9/10 project. That way we can go back to how we felt before we were so viciously attacked.
Then it hit me. People like Glenn Beck want us all to feel the way we did on 9/12. The biggest emotion all of us felt on 9/12/01 was fear. We were downright horrified. People like Beck need us to be afraid. That way we are easily controlled.
Glen Beck and his peers get the people to these town halls using fear. They are afraid of death panels, They are afraid someone is going to kill gramma. They are afraid we are going to be socialists. They are afraid they are going to loose medicare options. Most of all they are afraid of what this black guy is doing in the White House.
Here is 9/12 leader, and fake housewife Katy Abram being dumb on Hardball.
Here is Katy being a 9/12 leader.
