Actor/comedian Soupy Sales died today at the age of 83. He was best known for the 1960’s children’s show Lunch with Soupy Sales, and as a guest on the TV game shows To Tell the Truth, Match Game, and Hollywood Squares.

NPR: Many will remember his wrestling.
Many will remember his roles in Cyndi Lauper’s videos.
Some will remember his part as a henchman on Miami Vice.
Captain Lou Albano professional wrestler, actor and all-around legend, has died. He was 76.
As New York’s Daily News says, Albano was “known for his wild goatee, usually tamed by a rubber band, and his half-open Hawaiian shirts … (and was) a wrestling world fixture for more than a half-century.”

Mike Watt and Brendan Mullen
Brendan Mullen died of a major stroke this week at the age of 60. He was the founder of the legendary Hollywood Hardcore Punk club Masque in 1977.
Brendan Mullen was always very kind to me… in the old days, always a kindness and interest. When the band before the minutemen made two cassettes of a prac (only recording of them), I gave one to brendan – he was only person to get cuz the other got kept in a drawer. Ever since old days we’d have huge spiels together, lots. Intelligent man. Helpful man. Drummer man, too. He’d call me with ideas all the time… more recent was to make album… now there’s no time. Fuck. He was great cat, great cat! Big love always to him from Mike Watt. He touched many folks’ lives…

Susan Atkins has Died

Ex-Manson Family member Susan Atkins aka Sadie Mae Glutz has died at the Central California Women’s Facility in Chowchilla. She was 61 years old.
Atkins had suffered from terminal brain cancer, and had previously attempted to gain a compassionate release from prison where she was serving a life sentence for murder.
She was most notorious for stabbing 26-year-old pregnant actress Sharon Tate, wife of director Roman Polanski.
Mary Travers has Died

Mary Travers, singer with the folk trio Peter, Paul and Mary, has died of leukemia. She was 72 years old.
Peter, Paul and Mary made 1960’s protest songs like “Blowin’ in the Wind,” “If I Had a Hammer” “Puff the Magic Dragon”, and “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?”.

Actor Patrick Swayze died today after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 57 years old.
Best known for his roles in Dirty Dancing, Ghost, Point Break, and my favorite, Donnie Darko, Swayze’s most recent role was in the A&E drama series The Beast.

Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009. It’s September and he’s still on ice.
Now finally some good news for Jackson’s carcass… he’s scheduled to be buried tomorrow in The Great Mausoleum at Glendale Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, CA.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have confirmed that Ryan Jenkins, reality show star and husband/murderer of model Jasmine Fiore, was found dead in a motel in British Columbia.
“Sgt. Duncan Pound, spokesman for the RCMP’s federal border integrity program said the police force “is able to confirm that a deceased person that was found in a motel in Hope, B.C., is in fact Ryan Jenkins.” He said it appears as if Jenkins took his own life.”

Jasmine Fiore, murdered wife of reality show star Ryan Jenkins, was an aspiring model and actress. So it’s not a big surprise that she wanted to sing, too.
Going by the name Jaz, Fiore’s vocals can be heard on GarageBand.com, where she “sang” as part of the dance/electronica group Machines of Joy.

By “ethereal female vocals” I think they mean “shitty auto-tuned vocals”, because people only use auto-tune to cover the fact that they can’t sing. Yes Kanye, this means you too.
