Who Knew That Michael Jackson Could Draw?

I sure didn’t. Was there anything Michael Jackson couldn’t do besides handle his Propofol?

Joe Jackson Blames Michael’s Beatings on Slavery

Posted in Entertainment, Music with tags , , , , , on July 21, 2009 by Ro

Last night Joe Jackson was on the Larry King show. When asked if he ever beat Michael, papa Joe responded, “You know where this beating started? The beating started in the slavery days… they used to beat the slaves. And then they used to torture them. That’s where this beating started – the slavemasters. And that’s where that come from.” Sounds reasonable, right?

If I was Joe’s attorney, I would have just pointed to something behind Larry King and yelled, “Larry LOOK OVER THERE!” and when Larry turned his head, I would have grabbed Joe by the hair and dragged him out of the studio. That’s what I would have done.

Michael Jackson’s Ghosts

“The film tells the story of a scary Maestro with supernatural powers, who is being forced out of a small town by its mayor. The movie includes a series of dance routines performed by Michael Jackson and his “family” of ghouls. Every song from the film was taken from Michael Jackson’s HIStory and Blood on the Dance Floor albums. The film is also notable for an early film appearance of rapper Mos Def.”

Michael Jackson plays the Mayor AND the Maestro. I wonder what Mos Def does in the film?

Another Michael Jackson ghost sighting here.

Posted in Deaths, Entertainment, Music with tags , , , on July 11, 2009 by Ro

T-shirts, hats, and mugs are understandable. But socks? Belt buckles? Scarves? Wallets? Sleep Masks? It’s all available at the online Michael Jackson store. The most collectible item is the “Michael Jackson King of Pop First Event Shirt” that was to be sold only on July 13th, the first scheduled night of Jackson’s 50 show stint at London’s O2 arena.

“July 13th was to be a historic night for Michael Jackson, the first of 50 shows at London’s famed O2 Arena. To honor Michael and memorialize this event, we are making available the O2 Opening night Commemorative Event t-shirt! Featuring a bold number 1 on the back to memorialize the first Michael Jackson show, this shirt was to have been sold at the O2 only on July 13th 2009. In keeping with that theme, this shirt will only be sold until midnight July 13th, and then retired forever. Available exclusively in the Official Michael Jackson store.”

Who wears a sleep mask, anyhow?

Iowa’s Michael Jackson Dilemma

Ooohhh Elvis, you're sooo creamy....err... dreamy.

Ooohhh Elvis, you're sooo creamy....err... dreamy.

Still controversial in death, Michael Jackson is creating quite a ruckus in Iowa. Iowa Stare Fair officials just can’t decide if it is appropriate to include a giant buttery sculpture of the King of Pop in their butter carving exhibit this year, so they are taking a vote to let the nation decide.

You see, the theme of the exhibit is honoring the 40th anniversary of Neil Armstrong’s moonwalk. And we all know that it was Michael Jackson who really perfected the moonwalk in the 80’s.

What’s funny is that at one time they were ok with a butter sculpture of Elvis sucking on a penis. Did they call a vote back then? I think not.Look on the bright side, Iowa. When the exhibit closes, children of all ages and races can slather their breadsticks in MJ’s delicious buttery cream. Just like they did when he was alive.

Corey Feldman is Amazing

You can always count on Corey Feldman to try to upstage the guest of honor. He arrived at the Michael Jackson funeral dressed as Michael Jackson!

In Corey’s defense, he’s always borrowed from MJ… Watch this clip from “The Two Coreys”. Corey wrote this song for his wife as a Valentine’s Day gift, but at about 1:20, he breaks into his best Michael Jackson…

RIP, Funnyman

I’ve been to a few funerals, but none as extravagant as this. Michael Jackson was always about the flair.
